Killers of the flower moon
Excellent factual account of the "Reign of Terror" of Usage Indians in Oklahoma in the 1920s, with contemporary pictures from newspaper and police records of the time, which add to the authenticity of the reporting. Reads like a thriller; in turn horrifying, moving and astonishing....

Island of secrets
What a read? I really could not put this book down. It was memorising from beginning to end. It is centred around a devastating period in history for the island and I felt that I lived through it with each villager involved and it was so very emotional. How could they live through such pain? I have learnt so much from reading this book, it was enthralling. It was the best book I have read in a very long time. Stories such as these need to be told. I also loved the character relationships, even if at times I got a little list. You must read this book. We owe that to Maria and the people of Crete.

I found it difficult to put this down! It is a page turner that should appeal to those who enjoy crime fiction. It would make a good film too.

Line of Duty - Series 2 - Complete
BBC drama at it's very best - this series has not been given a bafta - I cannot understand why! Start series 1 if you have not seen it on transmission - you will not be disappointed.

Mayfly
I read this in one sitting, at first I didn't think it would be my king of book, as it flitted back to nazi germany at the end of the war and the concentration camps, and what went on there, but then comes Charlie Priest a lawyer who used to be a cop, he gets caught up in a homicide when he's the last person to see the victim alive, but someone doesn't want him looking into the case, but the more they try and stop him more they draw him in, it's a brilliant book and I really hope there will be more to this series
